The Lilac Garden is a studio-based florist in Chelmsford specialising in natural, seasonal Wedding and Funeral flowers, thoughtfully designed for life's most meaningful moments.

Founded in 2020, The Lilac Garden was inspired by my love of gardening and the beauty of the changing seasons. After raising my three children, I chose to pursue a new creative path and trained professionally at Writtle University, achieving Distinctions in both Level 2 and Level 3 Floristry. Helen x

Ethos

My work is guided by a natural, garden-led style that celebrates the movement, texture and character of seasonal flowers. I have my own cutting garden, and there's something truly special about nurturing a flower from seed to bloom and incorporating it into my designs. Wherever possible, I use seasonal flowers and foliage and support British growers, celebrating the beauty of locally sourced blooms.

Sustainability is at the heart of my work. I care deeply about the environment and am committed to using sustainable floristry methods and thoughtful sourcing to minimise environmental impact, while creating elegant meaningful designs.

Every arrangement I create is made with great care, sensitivity and attention to detail. I pour my heart and soul into my work and feel privileged to share my passion for flowers through designs that bring comfort, beauty and joy.
